About this plant

The coffee plant makes a handsome houseplant in its own right, with glossy, wavy, deep green leaves on a bushy little shrub. It is a fun conversation piece for any plant lover, and it fits a bright kitchen or sunroom.

Give it bright, indirect light and keep the soil evenly moist, never soggy. It enjoys humidity and warmth, and it can spend the summer outdoors in a sheltered spot once nights are warm, coming back in before the weather cools.

Be patient for flowers. A mature plant in good light can produce fragrant white blooms followed by red berries, but that takes years. Until then, enjoy the foliage. Choose a 3, 4 or 6 inch pot.
