About this plant
Gold dust croton has narrow, deep green leaves sprinkled with spots of gold, as if someone dusted the plant with paint. It brings a cheerful, sunny look to a windowsill or desk.
Like all crotons, it needs plenty of light to keep its color, and some direct sun is fine. In a dim spot the gold fades and the plant sulks. Keep the soil lightly moist, never soggy, and give it some humidity. Do not worry if it drops a few leaves after the move to your home; crotons often do while they settle, then push out fresh growth.
Choose a 3 or 4 inch pot. A good pick for your brightest window.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
