About this plant
Hoya 'Tricolor' is a wax plant with thick, waxy leaves splashed in cream, green and pink along trailing vines. The colors shift with the light: the brighter the indirect light, the more pink it shows.
Keep it out of direct sun, which can mark the leaves, and give it a bright spot nearby instead. Let the soil dry out between waterings, then water well and let the pot drain. It needs less water in winter.
It looks lovely trailing from a hanging pot or a high shelf, or trained around a small hoop. Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot. It is easy, slow and steady, and it makes a thoughtful gift.
The ASPCA lists the wax plant (Hoya carnosa) as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
