About this plant
Fabian aralia looks like a miniature tree. Rounded, cupped leaves in dark green grow from a thick, woody trunk, giving it a sculptural, aged look even in a modest pot. It is often trained as a bonsai.
Give it bright, indirect light and water when the top inch of soil is dry, then let the pot drain. It likes steady warmth and humidity and dislikes cold drafts, so keep it away from doors and vents in winter. Trim stems to shape it as it grows.
It comes in a 6 inch pot. A distinctive gift for someone who loves small trees and bonsai, and a striking accent on a desk or side table.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
