About this plant

Hoya 'Black Margin' is a newer wax plant with textured, oval green leaves that end in a point. Each leaf is outlined in dark purple, so dark it reads as black, which gives the vines a crisp, drawn look.

Give it bright, indirect light. Let the soil dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly until it runs from the drainage hole and let the pot drain. Like most hoyas, it is happy a little snug in its pot.

It trails from a shelf or climbs a small trellis. A mature plant in bright light can produce clusters of creamy white, fragrant flowers. Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot. A good pick for a collector who still wants an easy plant.
