About this plant
Ficus triangularis has small, neat leaves shaped like triangles, and in this variegated form each one is edged in cream. The plant grows bushy and slowly, so it keeps a tidy shape on a shelf or table.
Bright, indirect light keeps the cream edges strong; in low light new leaves come in greener. Water when the top inch of soil is dry, then let the pot drain completely. Like most figs, it prefers a steady spot, so find it a bright place and let it settle rather than moving it around.
Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot. An unusual, graphic ficus that makes a thoughtful gift for someone who already has the common ones.
The ASPCA lists Ficus as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
