About this plant
Hoya australis grows glossy, rounded green leaves on long, vining stems. It is one of the easier hoyas, happy to trail from a shelf or wind its way up a small trellis.
Give it bright, indirect light. Let the soil dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let the pot drain. The thick leaves hold water, so it forgives a late watering. Ease off in winter.
With age and good light, it can bloom with clusters of fragrant white flowers. Leave the old flower stalks in place, since new blooms often form on the same spurs. Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
