About this plant
Krimson Princess is a wax plant with thick, waxy leaves variegated in green, cream and pink, and new growth that often blushes deep red. Mature plants bloom with round clusters of star-shaped, waxy flowers that are lightly fragrant.
Give it bright, indirect light; more light means more color and a better chance of blooms. Let the soil dry out between waterings, since the leaves store water. Leave the old flower spurs on the vine; the plant blooms from the same spots again.
The vines trail from a hanging pot or climb a small trellis. It is slow and steady, long lived and easy to keep, a good plant to grow with for years.
The ASPCA lists the wax plant (Hoya carnosa) as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
