About this plant

The sweetheart hoya grows thick, succulent leaves shaped like perfect little hearts. Please note how the sizes differ: the 3 and 4 inch pots hold a single rooted heart leaf, a sweet living keepsake that stays a heart and will not grow vines.

Bright, indirect light suits it best. The fleshy leaves store water, so let the soil dry out between waterings and water sparingly in winter. A pot with drainage and a fast draining mix keep it healthy.

It makes a thoughtful gift for an anniversary, a new home or Valentine's Day, and it takes very little care.

The ASPCA lists the sweetheart hoya (Hoya kerrii) as non-toxic to cats and dogs.

From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
