About this plant
'Glacier' is a variegated English ivy with small, grey-green leaves edged in creamy white. It is a fast vine that trails or climbs, rooting along its stems as it travels, so it fills a pot quickly and spills over the edge.
Bright, indirect light keeps the variegation crisp, and it does well in a cooler room away from heaters. Keep the soil lightly moist, never soggy, and water when the surface starts to dry. Trim long stems to keep it full; the cuttings root easily in water or soil.
Choose a 3, 4 or 6 inch pot. Gardeners use it in hanging baskets, window boxes and small topiary forms, and indoors it softens a shelf or mantel.
The ASPCA lists English ivy (Hedera helix) as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
