About this plant

Ripple peperomia has deeply furrowed, heart-shaped leaves in rich green, held on reddish stems. It forms a bushy little mound, usually under 8 inches tall, and now and then it sends up slender cream flower spikes.

It tolerates lower light and is happy in medium, indirect light. Let the top of the soil dry between waterings, since the stems can rot if the pot stays wet. A spot with a little humidity keeps the ripples full.

Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot. It is small enough for a desk, a bookshelf or a terrarium, and it suits anyone who wants plenty of texture in very little space.

The ASPCA lists the ripple peperomia (Peperomia caperata) as non-toxic to cats and dogs.

From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
