About this plant
Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' puts out deeply lobed leaves that open a pale, almost white green, then slowly darken through light green to a deeper shade. Because new and older leaves sit side by side, the plant always shows a soft mix of colors.
Bright, indirect light gives the palest new growth; in lower light the new leaves come in greener. Water when the top inch of soil is dry and keep it out of cold drafts. As it climbs, give it a moss pole or a stake to hold onto.
Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot, in a nursery pot or an eco pot. Leaf color and variegation vary from plant to plant, which is part of its appeal for collectors.
The ASPCA lists Philodendron as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
