About this plant
The Pink Princess grows heart-shaped leaves in a deep green so dark it reads almost black, splashed and marbled with bubblegum pink. Every leaf is different, from a few pink freckles to bold half-moons of color.
Bright, indirect light is the key to strong pink; in low light new leaves come in greener. Avoid direct sun on the pink sections, which can burn. Water when the top inch or two of soil is dry and let it drain. A moss pole or stake helps it climb and grow larger leaves.
Variegation varies from plant to plant and leaf to leaf, which is part of the thrill of growing one. A rewarding plant for collectors and a memorable gift.
The ASPCA lists Philodendron as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
