About this plant

Fish hooks senecio trails long stems lined with curved, blue-green leaves shaped like little fish hooks. It has an airy, cascading look that softens a shelf or a window.

Give it bright light; a little direct sun is fine. Water when the soil is completely dry and let the pot drain, since the leaves store water and the roots dislike staying wet. Water less in winter.

Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot. It comes in a plastic nursery pot; the terra cotta planter and saucer in one photo are not included. It looks great in a hanging pot where the stems can fall freely.

The ASPCA lists Senecio species as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
