About this plant
String of hearts sends out long, delicate strings of small, heart-shaped leaves. Each leaf is silvery green and patterned on top and purple underneath, so the strands look soft and shimmery as they hang.
Give it bright, indirect light. Let the soil dry out between waterings, then water well and let the pot drain; the plant is semi-succulent and dislikes wet roots. Water less in winter.
Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot. It is made for a hanging pot or a high shelf, where the strings can trail. Trim long strands to keep it full, and give it as a gift that is easy to love.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
