About this plant
Two different calatheas in 4 inch pots, chosen when your order is packed. Calatheas are grown for their painted leaves, striped, spotted or edged in contrasting colors, often with purple undersides. Many fold their leaves upward in the evening and open them again by morning.
Give them medium, indirect light and keep them out of direct sun. Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy, and add humidity with a pebble tray or by grouping plants together. Filtered or rain water helps prevent brown leaf edges.
A pair of patterned plants for a table, a shelf or a bright bathroom, and a thoughtful gift for a household with cats or dogs.
The ASPCA lists Calathea as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
