About this plant
Calathea 'White Fusion' is a collector's calathea. Its green leaves are streaked and marbled with white, as if painted by hand, while the undersides and stems carry a soft lilac pink. No two leaves share the same pattern, and the amount of white varies from plant to plant.
It is one of the fussier calatheas, so it rewards a steady routine. Give it medium, indirect light and keep it out of direct sun. Water before the soil dries out, keeping it evenly moist but never soggy, and raise the humidity with a humidifier or pebble tray. Steady warmth and no cold drafts keep the leaves crisp.
It comes in a 4 or 6 inch pot, with a choice of nursery pot, eco pot or cow pot. A good fit for someone who already enjoys calatheas and wants a showpiece.
The ASPCA lists Calathea as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
