About this plant
'Malaika' forms a compact rosette of broad, arching leaves striped in lime, cream and green. The stripes run the length of each leaf, giving the plant a fresh, bright look in a small footprint.
Medium light keeps the stripes crisp, and it tolerates lower light well. Let the soil dry to the touch between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. It dislikes cold drafts, so keep it away from doors in winter.
It comes in a 4 inch pot, just right for a desk, a nightstand or a bathroom shelf. An easy plant for offices and first-time growers.
The ASPCA lists Dracaena deremensis as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
