Pot size guide

How big is each size?

Sizes are named by the pot's width across the top. The bands show a typical overall height for a plant in that pot. It is a general guide only: every plant grows a little differently, and each plant in this set has its own pot.

3" pot: about 4 to 8 inches tall, pot included
4" pot: about 6 to 12 inches tall, pot included
6" pot: about 10 to 18 inches tall, pot included

About this plant

Four of the most forgiving houseplants we know, chosen for people who are new to plants or short on time: golden pothos, snake plant 'Laurentii', snake plant 'Starfish' and a ZZ plant. Choose 3, 4 or 6 inch pots for all four. If one is out of stock, a similar easy plant may be substituted.

All four tolerate lower light and missed waterings. The pothos likes a drink when the top inch or two of soil is dry; the snake plants and the ZZ prefer to dry out completely and may need water only every few weeks.

Together they cover a trailing plant for a shelf and upright plants for a desk or floor. A ready-made starter collection and an easy gift for a new home, dorm or office.

The ASPCA lists pothos and the snake plant as toxic to cats and dogs, so place this bundle out of reach of cats and dogs.

From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
