About this plant
Lemon Lime is a prayer plant with leaves in layered shades of green, from deep forest to bright lime, traced with neon yellow veins. Each evening the leaves fold upward, like hands in prayer, and they open again in the morning.
Medium, indirect light is ideal; direct sun fades the colors. Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy and give it some humidity, especially in winter when heating dries the air. Filtered or rain water helps prevent brown leaf edges.
It grows low and spreading, about a foot tall, with stems that drape over the edge of the pot. A good choice for a table, a shelf or a bright bathroom.
The ASPCA lists the prayer plant as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
