About this plant

Red ripple peperomia has heart-shaped leaves with deep ripples, colored a rich burgundy red with a metallic sheen. It stays compact, a small mound of color for a desk or shelf.

It tolerates lower light, but the color is richest in medium, indirect light. Let the top of the soil dry between waterings, and never leave the pot standing in water; too much moisture is the one thing that troubles it.

It is in stock in a 4 inch pot. Pair it with a green ripple peperomia or a silver-leaved plant for contrast, or give it on its own as an easy, colorful gift.

The ASPCA lists the ripple peperomia (Peperomia caperata) as non-toxic to cats and dogs.

From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
