About this plant
Variegated Philodendron 'Ring of Fire' grows long, narrow leaves with jagged edges, and its new leaves can open in cream, light and dark green, orange and red. It is a hybrid first known as 'Henderson's Pride'.
It is a slow grower, so each new leaf is an event. Give it bright, indirect light to bring out the warm tones, water when the top inch of soil is dry, and keep it away from cold windows in winter.
Choose a 4 or 6 inch pot, in a nursery pot or an eco pot. Color and variegation vary from plant to plant, which is part of the fun for a collector.
The ASPCA lists Philodendron as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
