About this plant
Satin pothos 'Silver Splash' grows matte, heart-shaped green leaves covered in wide, loose splashes of silver that shimmer as the light changes. It trails beautifully from a shelf or hanging pot.
It grows more slowly than a true pothos and tolerates lower light, though the silver is brightest in medium to bright, indirect light. Let the soil dry about halfway before watering, then water well and let it drain.
Choose a 3, 4, 6 or 8 inch pot; one photo shows the 8 inch as a full hanging basket. It is easy, forgiving and a lovely trailing plant for beginners.
The ASPCA lists the satin pothos (Scindapsus pictus) as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
