About this plant
Bird's nest snake plants stay short and grow in a rosette instead of tall spears. 'Golden Hahnii' has wide golden yellow edges with green streaks through the center, so each rosette looks almost like a flower.
It tolerates low light, though a medium to bright spot keeps the yellow strongest. Water only when the soil is completely dry, and avoid pouring water into the center of the rosette. Fast-draining soil keeps it firm.
Because it stays low and compact, it suits shelves, desks and windowsills. Choose a 3, 4 or 6 inch pot, or group several for a cheerful display.
The ASPCA lists the snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata) as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
