About this plant
'Starlight' is a bird's nest snake plant: a low rosette of silvery gray-green leaves flecked with darker green and finished with pale cream to tan edges. The soft coloring sets it apart from the greener dwarf types.
Low light is fine, and medium to bright indirect light keeps the silver tone. Water only when the soil is fully dry, and keep water out of the center of the rosette. It grows slowly and rarely needs repotting.
It stays small, so a 3 or 4 inch pot suits a desk, a nightstand or a narrow windowsill. A handsome, low-effort plant for small spaces.
The ASPCA lists the snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata) as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
