About this plant
White Butterfly is an arrowhead plant with leaves washed in creamy white at the center and soft green at the edges. Young leaves are shaped like arrowheads; as the plant matures they can split into three or more lobes.
Medium to bright, indirect light keeps the pale centers strong, though it tolerates lower light. Water when the top inch of soil is dry and keep it out of direct sun. It grows quickly in warm months and appreciates a bit of humidity.
Young plants form a bushy mound; over time the stems begin to climb or trail. Pinch the tips to keep it compact, or give it a small pole to climb. Cuttings root easily in water.
The ASPCA lists the arrowhead plant (Syngonium podophyllum) as toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
