About this plant
The zebra haworthia grows a tight rosette of stiff, pointed, dark green leaves striped with raised white bands, just like a zebra. It is small, tidy and very easy to keep.
Unlike many succulents, it does well indoors in bright, indirect light and does not need full sun; strong afternoon sun can actually redden or scorch it. Water only when the soil is completely dry, then water thoroughly and let it drain. A gritty cactus mix helps.
It stays only a few inches tall and slowly forms little offsets around the base. Perfect for a desk, a windowsill or a mixed succulent dish, and a great first succulent for beginners or kids.
The ASPCA lists the zebra haworthia (Haworthia fasciata) as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
