New to house plants, or tired of losing them? Start here. Easy care plants forgive the things that usually go wrong: a missed watering, a week away, a spot that is a little too dark or a little too bright.
Most want water only when the top inch of soil is dry, which in many homes works out to every week or two, and less in winter. That makes them a good first plant, a good plant for an office desk, and a good gift for the friend who says they kill everything. Give each one a pot with a drainage hole, resist the urge to love it with extra water, and it will do the rest.

Winter shipping
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
