Not every garden is outside
House Plants
Not every garden is outside. These are plants for the windowsill, the bookshelf and the corner by the door, chosen the way we choose everything we sell: would a gardener be glad to have it?
Shop by what your room gives you. Low light plants cope with a north window or a dim hallway. Succulents and cacti want your sunniest sill. If you share your home with cats or dogs, start with the plants the ASPCA lists as non-toxic to them, easy care plants forgive a missed watering, and air plants need no soil at all. Collectors will find rare plants, and there are gift ideas for the plant lover on your list.
Need a pot to go with it? See our planters.
Want to feed it too? See our plant food and soil.
Every plant ships on its own, separately from any spade in your order, and its shipping is shown at checkout.

Winter shipping
From November to April, we recommend adding Winter Plant Shipping Protection (a heat pack) at checkout. Plants shipped in cold weather without it are not covered for cold damage.
From the garden shed
For the garden outside
Plenty of house plants spend the summer on the porch, and every gardener has a bed waiting outside. The Spear Head Spade starts the cut like a spear and finishes it like a spade. It is what our family business makes.
